After watching our current favorite HBO television series Newsroom tonight, what just flashed on the screen – the return and season premiere of Kenny Powers and Co! This upcoming season will be yet another short one at just eight episodes, but seeing as we’ve never had more than eight episodes in a season to begin with, I’d say we’re lucky just to get the last chapter in the life of fictional baseball’s most bombastic and foul-mouthed pitcher. I’m stoked that Stevie Janoswki, Ashley Shaffer and April Buchanon ARE BACK! Thanks for bring them back Ben Best and Jodie Hill!! Can’t wait!!
This calls for celebration! A celebration with Lucas C’T’Z’N Pinot Noir 2011 — Bright Bing cherry mingled with orange peel, clove, and allspice. 6 months in neutral French oak has brought some complexity but the overall theme is fruit, fruit, fruit. This wine can be paired with just about anything but especially a wide range of cheeses, poultry, fresh grilled salmon, autumn soups and sauces! Tonight, we paired it with tender Chateaubriand with salsa verde (personal recipe), roasted cauliflower and Italian green peppers. This Pinot Noir is best served at “castle temperature”, 50-60º F. Welcome back, Kenny!!
